O’Reilly Sneaks Behind D – 3/11 vs. Anaheim
Second-year pro Ryan O’Reilly’s seventh goal of the season opened the scoring in Colorado’s contest against Anaheim. On the play, Ryan Wilson’s long outlet pass was tipped at the blue line and ended up on the stick of O’Reilly, who got behind the Ducks’ defense and snapped a shot past Dan Ellis.

Elliott Stops Ehrhoff – 3/16 @ Vancouver
Colorado was holding onto a 2-1 lead in the third period when Brian Elliott came up with a big save on Christian Ehrhoff. From the left boards, Henrik Sedin made a nice cross-ice feed to Ehrhoff, who had snuck into the slot area for what looked to be a sure goal. However, Elliott moved from his right to left quick enough to turn aside the Vancouver defenseman.

Olver’s First Goal – 3/17 @ Calgary
Forward Mark Olver netted his first career NHL goal against the Flames. With the Avalanche down two goals, the rookie received a nice pass from linemate Matt Duchene and moved the puck to his backhand to gain a better angle before burying a shot past Calgary goalie Miikka Kiprusoff.
