NHL 20 CAR Carolina Hurricanes EA Sports Nathan MacKinnon Simulation

The Colorado Avalanche takes on the Carolina Hurricanes in its next EA Sports' NHL 20 game simulation on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. MT.

The Avs won 2-1 against the Minnesota Wild in last week's virtual matchup after J.T. Compher's avatar scored the game-winning in the final minute of the third period.

It's been rumored by head coach Jared Bednar that Colorado goaltender Pavel Francouz will start this next digital game in net after Philipp Grubauer guarded the pipes in each of the previous three simulated affairs, all wins.

During the 2019-20 regular season, the actual Avalanche went 1-1-0 against the Hurricanes, winning 3-2 in the most recent contest on Feb. 28 in Raleigh, North Carolina.

The game will also include commentary from Altitude TV broadcasters Marc Moser and Peter McNab. Viewers will be able to stream the contest on the Avalanche's Twitch.tv channel, as well as on the team's Facebook, Twitter and YouTube accounts.
