Avalanche Hosts Stars (Preseason)

Coming off a 3-2 defeat against the St. Louis Blues in Friday night's preseason home opener, the Colorado Avalanche looks to earn its first victory of the preseason (0-2-0) against the undefeated Dallas Stars (3-0-0).

The Stars won their third consecutive preseason contest last night, a 3-2 victory, over the St. Louis Blues in Dallas.   In their the three games thus far, the Stars have outscored their opponents 14-7.

The Avs are led by rookie defenseman Tyson Barrie, who has a team-high three points (2-1=3) in two preseason contests.  Fellow rookie Brad Malone ranks second in points with (1-1=2) in one game played.

Michael Ryder (2-1=3), Colton Sceviour (2-1=3) and Mike Ribeiro (1-2=3) lead the way for Dallas.
