The Colorado Avalanche is hosting its final EA Sports NHL 20 game simulation against the Vegas Golden Knights at virtual Pepsi Center on Wednesday.
The Avs won 6-4 in a Division Rivalry contest against the St. Louis Bluesin last week's digital matchup after Andre Burakovsky had a goal and an assist. Nazem Kadri and Vladislav Namestnikov's avatars also contributed two assists apiece.
During live regular-season action prior to the NHL's pause of the 2019-20 campaign, the Avalanche went 2-0-0 against the Golden Knights, winning 6-1 on Oct. 25 and 7-3 on Dec. 23 at T-Mobile Arena. The real-life teams will join the Dallas Stars and St. Louis in the round-robin series of the NHL's Return to Play Plan to determine the top four Western Conference seeds for the 2020 Stanley Cup Playoffs.
Wednesday's virtual outing will once again include commentary from Altitude TV broadcasters Marc Moser and Peter McNab, and many features that are unique to the in-arena experience at Pepsi Center. Viewers will be able to stream the contest on the Avalanche's Twitch.tv channel, as well as the team's Facebook, Twitter and YouTube accounts.
