A two-game road trip concludes for the Colorado Avalanche on Monday night, as it takes on the Calgary Flames at Scotiabank Saddledome. Colorado is 0-2-0 against the Flames this season, which includes a 4-1 loss in the last meeting in Calgary on Jan. 4.
The Avs are 54-48-10 all-time against the Flames, which includes a 26-25-4 record on the road in the series.

Last Time Out

The Avs fell to the Edmonton Oilers 4-1 in their last game on Saturday night at Rogers Place. Colorado fell behind 1-0 at 1:54 of the opening period, but Sven Andrighetto evened the score less than a minute later. The Oilers took a 2-1 lead into the first intermission and scored twice in the third period--both on the power play--to seal the win.
Calgary is coming off a big 3-2 overtime win over the St. Louis Blues on Saturday to wrap up a three-game road trip. Sean Monahan tallied two points, including the game-winning goal, and Brian Elliott made 29 saves. With the win, the Flames now hold the first Wild Card spot in the Western Conference.

Last Time They Met

The Flames took a decisive 4-1 win the last time these two teams faced off on Jan. 4 in Calgary. Mark Giordano, TJ Brodie, Sean Monahan and Alex Chiasson all had two-point nights, and the Flames scored the first four goals of the game before the Avalanche got a goal from Patrick Wiercioch with less than two minutes left to spoil the shutout for Elliott. The Flames scored three power-play goals, and Colorado was scoreless on three opportunities with the man advantage.
