Colorado Eagles (ECHL)

The Colorado Eagles are moving onto the second round the ECHL Playoffs after defeating the Wichita Thunder in six games.
Entering the week up 2-0 in the series, the Eagles took a commanding lead in the best-of-seven set by winning Game 3 at home. In the 4-2 win, netminder Joe Cannata made 17 saves, J.C. Beaudin had a goal and an assist and Travis Barron recorded a pair of helpers.
Cannata was in net again on Friday and made 12 saves in 26:14 in the crease, but Colorado fell 6-0. The Eagles lost a close one on Saturday in Game 5, as they fell 5-4 in overtime. Cannata made his fifth start of the series and made 12 saves in regulation and overtime. Beaudin found the back of the net for his third point of the week, Barron recorded an assist and Julien Nantel registered his second goal of the series.
Colorado wrapped up the series on Monday with a 5-3 victory in Wichita. Beaudin picked up another goal, and Cannata stopped 16-of-18 shots in 40 minutes of work.

OHL

Travis Barron (Ottawa 67's): The 67's season came to an end with a 4-1 first-round series loss to the Hamilton Bulldogs. Travis Barron, Ottawa's captain, ended the playoff series with five points (one goal, four assists) in five games and finished the regular season with 57 points (21 goals, 36 assists) in 67 games. The forward signed a three-year, entry-level contract with the Colorado Avalanche on March 29 and joined the AHL's San Antonio Rampage on an amateur tryout after the OHL campaign. He is currently with the Colorado Eagles during their ECHL playoff run.
Conor Timmins (Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds): The Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds defeated the Owen Sound Attack 9-7 in Game 7 on Tuesday to advance to the OHL semifinals again the Kitchener Rangers. Conor Timmins helped the Greyhounds outscore the Rangers 3-2 in Game 1 on Friday, as he lit the lamp twice in the match to double his goal total for the postseason. Sault Ste. Marie improved to 2-0 in the series on Saturday, as it defeated the Rangers again, 4-2, in Game 2. Kitchener earned its first win of the series on Monday with a 3-0 shutout victory. Timmins has notched 13 points (five goals, eight assists) during the postseason and registered 41 points (eight goals, 33 assists) in 36 regular-season contests with Sault Ste. Marie.

WHL

Josh Anderson (Swift Current Broncos): After defeating the Moose Jaw Warriors in Game 7 last week, the Swift Current Broncos advanced to the WHL semifinals to take on the Lethbridge Hurricanes and lead the series 2-0 after the first two games. The Broncos outscored the Hurricanes 3-2 on Friday and 4-3 on Saturday. Anderson hit the ice with Swift Current in both contests and has recorded two assists in 16 games this postseason. The blueliner collected a total of 14 points (three goals, 11 assists) in 54 regular season outings.
Nick Henry (Regina Pats): Nick Henry and the Regina Pats' season is on pause as they wait for the 2018 Memorial Cup next month. Regina has an automatic bid to the 100th Memorial Cup as it is hosting the Canadian Hockey League championship tournament. The Pats' WHL postseason came to a close in the first round as they lost in seven games to the Swift Current Broncos. Henry tallied four points (three goals, one assist) in the series, and he notched a total of 29 points (14 goals, 15 assists) in 53 regular-season contests.
Ty Lewis (Brandon Wheat Kings): The Brandon Wheat Kings wrapped up their 2017-18 season with a 4-1 series loss to the Lethbridge Hurricanes in the second round of the playoffs. Ty Lewis had 13 points (six goals, seven assists) in 11 postseason games. Lewis finished his regular season first among Wheat Kings scorers and tied for eighth in the WHL with 100 points (44 goals, 56 assists). His 44 goals led Brandon and were tied for 10th in the league.

NCAA

Shane Bowers (Boston University): Boston University's season ended in the NCAA regionals finals after it fell to Michigan. Shane Bowers recorded 32 points (17 goals, 15 assists) in 40 games and finished third in scoring on the Terriers' roster and led the club with a plus-16 rating. He helped BU earn its ninth Hockey Easy Tournament championship and was named to the Hockey East all-rookie team and a Hockey East honorable mention all-star.
Cale Makar (UMass): Cale Makar and the UMass Minutemen wrapped up their 2017-18 campaign in the Hockey East quarterfinals, and they didn't qualify for this year's NCAA national tournament. The freshman D-man recorded 21 points (five goals, 16 assists) in 34 games this year and earned Hockey East post-season honors by being named a third-team all-star. He also helped Canada win gold at the 2018 World Junior Championship, where he tallied eight points (three goals, five assists), tied for the most among tournament defensemen.
Cam Morrison (Notre Dame): Notre Dame's season came to a close in the NCAA tournament national championship game as it lost 2-1 to Minnesota Duluth. Cam Morrison finished with two points in the tournament and ended the season with eight goals and 15 helpers for 23 points in 40 contests.
Denis Smirnov (Penn State): Penn State fell to the University of Denver in the regional semifinals to end its run in the NCAA tournament and its 2017-18 season. Denis Smirnov led the Nittany Lions with 15 goals and concluded the campaign with 27 points (15 goals, 12 assists) in 30 games.

USHL

Nate Clurman (Sioux City Musketeers): The Sioux City Musketeers concluded their season with a 26-26-8 record, missing the cutoff for the playoffs by two points. Nate Clurman finished the year with 13 points (one goal, 12 assists) in 57 contests split between Sioux City, the Tri-City Storm and Des Moines Buccaneers.

BCHL

Nick Leivermann (Penticton Vees): The Penticton Vees fell to the Trail Smoke Eaters in Game 7 of the second round of the BCHL Playoffs to wrap up this year's campaign. Nick Leivermann recorded four assists through three playoff games. He suffered an injury in the third game of the first series and was not able to return to action. Leivermann finished the regular season with 37 points (10 goals, 27 assists) in 43 contests, leading all BCHL rookie defensemen in scoring.

KHL

Igor Shvyrev (Metallurg Magnitogorsk): Metallurg's campaign concluded after falling to Ak Bars Kazan in the Eastern Conference semifinals. Igor Shvyrev appeared in three playoff games for Magnitogorsk but did not collect any points. In 32 regular-season contests, the forward tallied one goal. Shvyrev also appeared in 10 games with Metallurg's junior club, Stalnye Lisy Magnitogorsk, and netted 17 points (five goals, 12 assists).

Sweden (Allsvenskan)

Gustav Olhaver (IK Oskarshamn): IK Oskarshamn fell to Leksands IF in a best-of-three playoff series to close its season. Gustav Olhaver did not find the scoresheet in the postseason and tallied 13 points (six goals, seven assists) through 48 regular-season games.
Adam Werner (IF Bjorkloven): Adam Werner signed an amateur tryout contract with the San Antonio Rampage, the American Hockey League affiliate of the Colorado Avalanche after the conclusion of Bjorkloven's season. Werner appeared in four AHL contests, putting together a 2-1-0 record, 3.35 goals-against average and .880 save percentage. In 47 games with Bjorkloven, the goaltender earned a 26-21-0 mark, 2.34 goals-against average and .915 save percentage. In the qualification round of the playoffs, Werner was solid in net going 4-1-0 with a 2.38 goals-against average and .902 save percentage.

Czech Republic

Petr Kvaca (HC Ceske Budejovice): HC Ceske Budejovice fell in the semifinals to the Kladno Knights in this year's playoffs. Petr Kvaca started all 10 games in the Czech postseason and went 5-5-0 with a 2.12 goals-against average and .919 save percentage. The goaltender recorded two postseason shutouts and had seven overall this campaign. Kvaca was 22-10-0 with a 1.75 goals-against average and .923 save percentage during the regular season.
