San Antonio Rampage

The Rampage fell 2-1 to the Barracuda on Tuesday in its first outing of the week. After a scoreless first period, San Jose took the lead early in the second stanza but Rocco Grimaldi assisted on a power-play goal to knot the match. The Barracuda found the back of the net midway through the final frame to take the lead and the win.
San Antonio hosted the Milwaukee Admirals on Friday and was outscored 4-1 after surrendering three power-play goals. The Rampage scored a man-advantage goal of its own at the 17:42 mark of the third period when Grimaldi assisted on a power-play goal. Spencer Martin made 26 saves between the pipes in the loss.
The Rampage bounced back with a 3-1 win over the Admirals on Sunday. Andrei Mironov assisted on the first goal of the contest and San Antonio took a 2-0 lead into the first intermission. Milwaukee netted a power-play goal in the second period to put the Admirals within one until Dominic Toninato scored empty-net goal in the final frame with an assist from Felix Girard to secure the win.

Andrew Hammond (Belleville Senators): Andrew Hammond started between the pipes for the Belleview Senators on Wednesday and made 21 saves in a 3-2 overtime win against the Rochester Americans. The netminder was recalled by the Colorado Avalanche on Friday. In 18 AHL games this season, Hammond has a 8-6-2 record, 3.34 goals-against average and .900 save percentage.

Colorado Eagles (ECHL)

The Colorado Eagles extended their win streak to eight contests, sweeping the Rapid City Rush in a three-game series. Goaltender Joe Cannata got the third star of the night on Wednesday as he made 32 saves, including five in the extra frame, in the Eagles 2-1 overtime victory against the Rush.
On Friday, the Eagles tallied three goals in four minutes in the third period to defeat Rapid City 4-2. J.C. Beaudin assisted on the final goal of the match while Cannata was between the pipes and made 23 saves in the victory.
Colorado sealed the sweep with a 8-1 win over the Rush on Saturday behind five markers in the first period. Beaudin recorded his 12th assist of the season in the win and Cannata made 25 saves in the crease.
Cannata is 15-1-1 in net and leads ECHL netminders with a goals-against average of 2.07.

OHL

Travis Barron (Ottawa 67's): The Ottawa 67's played three games in three days starting with a 5-0 victory over the Gatineau Olympiques on Friday. The club fell to the Peterborough Petes 6-2 on Saturday and to the Guelph Storm 5-4 in overtime on Sunday. Barron recorded a tally and a helper in the third period of the loss. The forward has 30 points (nine goals, 21 assists) in 41 contests.
Conor Timmins (Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds): Conor Timmins returned to the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds on Wednesday after winning gold with Team Canada in the IIHF World Junior Tournament. The defenseman recorded an assist in the Greyhounds' 3-1 win over the Saginaw Spirit on Wednesday before sitting out of Friday's 5-3 victory over the Owen Sound Attack and a 7-4 win over the Mississauga Steelheads on Saturday. The Greyhounds have defeated 28 out of their last 29 opponents and Timmins has six goals and 29 assists in 30 games this season.

WHL

Josh Anderson (Swift Current Broncos): Josh Anderson registered his first point in a Swift Current Broncos sweater in his first game with his new club on Friday. He recorded an assists in his team's 4-0 victory over the Prince Albert Raiders. Anderson put three shots on net on Saturday in the Broncos' 9-1 win over the Edmonton Oil Kings. The blueliner has registered eight points (one goal, seven assists) in 27 games in the WHL this season.
Nick Henry (Regina Pats): After the Regina Pats' 4-3 overtime loss to the Edmonton Oil Kings on Wednesday, Nick Henry recorded his first helper of the week as the Pats defeated the Medicine Hat Tigers 3-1 on Friday and he registered a second assist in a 8-2 victory over the Calgary Hitmen on Saturday. Henry has 20 points (seven goals, 13 assists) in 27 games this year.
Ty Lewis (Brandon Wheat Kings): Ty Lewis found the back of the net in the Brandon Wheat Kings' 3-2 overtime loss the Edmonton Oil Kings on Tuesday to extend his point streak to nine games (seven goals, six assists). His stretch ended on Friday when he didn't find the scoresheet in Brandon's 4-1 win over the Calgary Hitmen. The forward registered his 25th marker of the season on Saturday in a 4-3 overtime loss to the Medicine Hat Tigers. He continues to lead Brandon in scoring with 68 points (25 goals, 43 assists) in 43 contests.

Shane Bowers (Boston University): Shane Bowers recorded his ninth goal of the season on Friday as Boston University defeated New Hampshire 3-2. Boston finished the weekend with a 2-2 tie against Providence on Saturday, and has an overall record of 9-11-2 and a 7-7-2 record against Hockey East opponents. Bowers has 15 points (nine goals, six assists) in 22 games this campaign.
Cale Makar (UMass): Cale Makar returned to UMass this weekend after winning gold with Team Canada in the IIHF World Juniors Tournament. The blueliner made his return known as he found the back of the net three minutes into Friday's 2-2 tie against Vermont. UMass defeated Vermont 6-3 on Saturday and Makar recorded an assist and the Minutemen's third short-handed goal of the victory. He has 12 points (three goals, nine assists) in 18 NCAA games this season. UMass has an overall record of 10-9-1 and is 4-5-1 against Hockey East opponents.
Cam Morrison (Notre Dame): No. 1 Notre Dame didn't have contests this week, but the squad continues to lead the Big Ten with a perfect 12-0 recorded against conference opponents with an overall record of 18-3-1. Cam Morrison has 14 points (four goals, 10 assists) in 22 games this year.
Denis Smirnov (Penn State): Denis Smirnov helped Penn State to a 5-2 victory over Ohio State on Friday by recording a tally and a helper. The club faced Ohio State again on Saturday and fell 5-1. Penn State is third in the Big Ten with a 6-5-3-2 record in conference play and overall record of 13-8-3, good for 12th in the Men's College Hockey poll. Nate Clurman (Des Moines Buccaneers): Nate Clurman was traded from the Tri-City Storm to the Des Moines Buccaneers on Tuesday. Clurman hit the ice for the first time with the Buccaneers on Friday as Des Moines began a two-game series against his old club. Clurman registered an assist as the Buccaneers fell 3-1 on Friday before bouncing back with a 2-1 win over the Storm on Saturday. The blueliner hit the ice in both contest and has four assists in 25 games this campaign.

BCHL

Nick Leivermann (Penticton Vees): Nick Leivermann didn't hit the ice with the Penticton Vees this week as he sustained an upper-body injury on Jan. 6. The defenseman is expected to be out of the lineup for four weeks. The Vees defeated the Merritt Centennials 4-3 on Wednesday before tying with the Trail Smoke Eaters 2-2 on Friday after two overtime periods. Penticton closed out its week with a 6-2 win over the Chilliwack Chiefs on Saturday. Leivermann leads all rookie blueliners in scoring with 29 points (seven goals, 22 assists) in 36 contests this season.

KHL

Igor Shvyrev (Mettallurg Magnitogorsk): Igor Shvyrev registered two hits in Mettallurg Magnitogorsk's 4-3 loss to Slovan Bratislava on Tuesday. The forward has one goal in 28 contests this season. Shvyrev also has 13 points (five goals, eight assists) in six games for Mettallurg's junior team this campaign.
