Avalanche Farm Report: Feb. 21

San Antonio Rampage

On Friday night, the team faced the Griffins for the first of two games and fell 5-1. Bourke scored the team's only goal of the night with Gary Nunn and Eric Gelinas picking up the assists. Goaltender Kent Simpson played in net for San Antonio and made 32 saves on 37 shots.
On Saturday, the Rampage were shutout 6-0 in its second game versus Grand Rapids. Martin played the entire contest for San Antonio and saved 30 shots.
The Rampage closes its Rodeo Road Trip with games on Saturday and Sunday at the Manitoba Moose.

Colorado Eagles (ECHL)

The Colorado Eagles won all three of their contests at the Alaska Aces last week and increased their winning streak to 12 games, the second longest in team's history.
Colorado started off the week on Friday night with a thrilling 4-3 win over Alaska. The Eagles then skated past the Aces 6-2 on Saturday and 4-1 on Sunday.
The Avalanche's ECHL affiliate (34-14-4) is first in the Mountain Division and is battling for the top spot in the league.
The Eagles now host the Utah Grizzlies in a three-game series that starts Wednesday.

OHL

Travis Barron (Ottawa 67's): Travis Barron and the Ottawa 67's competed in three games last week. On Friday, they fell 5-4 in a shootout to the Oshawa Generals. Barron had an assist in the tiebreaking loss, which ended up being the only contest he appeared in during the week. On Saturday, the 67's played the Hamilton Bulldogs and came up short, losing 4-3. On Monday, the team lost 4-2 to the London Knights. Ottawa is battling for a playoff spot with a 20-29-6 record in the Ontario Hockey League. Barron has four points (two goals and two assists) in the last three games he's played and 11 goals and 19 assists in 47 contests this season.

QMJHL

JC Beaudin (Rouyn-Noranda Huskies): The Rouyn-Noranda Huskies went 2-1 last week. The team started off by playing Val-d'Or on Wednesday and won 2-1. JC Beaudin went 18-for-22 on faceoffs in the contest. On Friday night, Rouyn-Noranda lost 4-1 to Rimouski but then found success again on Saturday night by defeating Cape Breton 8-4. Beaudin had a four-point game (goal, three assists) and went 18-for-21 in the faceoff circle in Saturday's match. The Huskies improved to 34-15-7 this season and are in fifth place in the QMJHL. Beaudin now has 69 points (24 goals, 45 assists) in 53 games.
Nicolas Meloche (Charlottetown Islanders): The Charlottetown Islanders had a successful week after going 2-1 in their games. Nicolas Meloche and Charlottetown started the week on Tuesday with a 2-1 loss against the Saint John Sea Dogs. On Friday, Meloche had an assist as the Islanders defeated the Moncton Wildcats 11-4. On Saturday, Charlottetown picked up another blowout win by defeating the Halifax Mooseheads 5-1. Meloche's season totals come to 11 goals and 25 assists in 49 games. The Islanders are fourth in the QMJHL standings with a 37-16-3 record.

WHL

Josh Anderson (Prince George Cougars): Josh Anderson and the Prince George Cougars went 1-2 this past week. On Tuesday, the Cougars defeated the Spokane Chiefs 7-2 but then fell 5-2 on Saturday to the Kelowna Rockets. Anderson and the Cougars lost 3-0 on Sunday to the Kamloops Blazers. Prince George (38-18-4) continues to lead the B.C. Division. Anderson has one goal and six assists in 58 contests this year.

NCAA

Will Butcher (University of Denver): The University of Denver (22-6-4) and Will Butcher had a successful weekend with a series sweep of the Miami Red Hawks, helping DU to the No. 1 ranking in the nation. Butcher finished the series with a goal and three assists, earning NCHC Defenseman of the Week honors. On Friday, the Pioneers beat the Red Hawks 5-2 as Butcher recorded a three-point game with one goal and two assists. On Saturday, DU again defeated Miami by a 5-2 score with Butcher picking up an assist in the match. Butcher leads the team in scoring with 30 points after registering six goals and 24 assists in 32 contests this season. Butcher was named as a finalist for the NCAA Senior CLASS Award last Friday. The 10 finalists for the award represent student-athletes who excel both in the classroom and in their sport that exemplify a community, character, classroom and competition attitude.
Tyson Jost (University of North Dakota): The University of North Dakota (15-13-3) took on the Western Michigan Broncos this week but lost both games. The Fighting Hawks fell 4-2 on Friday and 3-2 on Saturday. Tyson Jost had two assists in Saturday's loss, while Friday's game represented his first contest back in the lineup since being injured on Jan. 20 versus Minnesota Duluth. He has registered 11 goals and 15 assists in 24 competitions this season.
Cam Morrison (University of Notre Dame): The University of Notre Dame Fighting Irish are now 18-9-5 after going 1-0-1 in their two games this past week against the Providence Friars. The Fighting Irish skated past Providence 4-1 on Friday, while Saturday's game ended in a 3-3 tie. Avalanche prospect Cam Morrison had the game-tying goal at 8:40 of the third period to force the contest to OT. Morrison has eight goals and eight assists in 32 outings this year.

Ben Storm (St. Cloud State University): St. Cloud State University (15-14-1) did not play any games last week. The Huskies will venture to Colorado this weekend to play the No. 1-ranked University of Denver. Ben Storm has two assists in 24 contests this season.

Sweden

Gustav Olhaver (Rogle BK J20, Super Elit): Gustav Olhaver had a big week as he recorded four goals and two assists in three games. Olhaver had an assist in Rogle BK's 5-4 loss to Karlskrona HK on Tuesday night and then added two goals on Saturday as the team fell 6-3 to AIK. Sunday marked Olhaver's best outing as he had three points (two goals and an assist) in a 6-5 win over Djurgarden. The Avs prospect now has 14 goals and 20 assists in 33 contests this year, including 20 points (eight goals and 12 assists) in his last 13 games.

Adam Werner (Bjorkloven, Allsvenskan): Bjorkloven went 1-2 in its two games last week. The team skated against Vita Hasten on Wednesday but came up short, losing 4-2. Bjorkloven then played MODO Hockey on Friday and won 5-3. On Monday, the team played BIK Karlskoga and lost 7-2. Goaltender Adam Werner did not play in any of the games. Werner has a 2.98 goals-against average and .893 save percentage after 20 games this season.
Wilhelm Westlund (Timra IK, Allsvenskan): Westlund played his first two games with Timra this week after being acquired in a trade with Almtuna IS on Wednesday. Westlund picked up an assist in both outings, a 5-3 loss to AIK on Friday and a 3-1 defeat to Sodertalje SK on Monday. Westlund had recorded one goal and six assists in 33 games with Almtuna this season.

Slovakia

Maximilian Pajpach (HK Poprad, Slovak Extraliga): Maximilian Pajpach did not play in any of HK Poprad's three games this past week. Poprad lost 3-1 to HK Nitra on Tuesday before picking up a 3-2 win on Friday against HC Kosice and a 4-2 win versus MHC Martin on Sunday. Pajpach has split this season between Poprad of Slovak Extraliga and MHC Martin B in Slovakia's second-tier pro league. He has a 4.22 goals-against average and .872 save percentage in nine games for Poprad and has recorded a 7.05 goals-against average and .828 save percentage in five contests with MHC Martin B.

KHL

Denis Parshin (Salavat Yulaev Ufa): Denis Parshin and Salavat Yulaev Ufa competed in two games this past week to finish off the regular season. Ufa started the week on Wednesday with a 3-1 win over AK Bars where Parshin had two assists. In Saturday's season finale, Salavat beat Lada 4-2 for its second win of the week. Parshin finished the regular season with eight goals and 12 assists in 53 outings. Salavat will take on Ak Bars in the East Quarterfinals, with the best-of-seven series beginning on Wednesday.
Andrei Mironov (Dynamo Moscow): Andrei Mironov and Dynamo Moscow closed out the regular season by winning all three of its games last week. Dynamo won 3-2 on Tuesday versus Amur Khabarovsk and beat Admiral Vladivostok 2-1 in overtime on Thursday. On Saturday, the team defeated Kunlun Red Star 2-1. Avalanche prospect Andrei Mironov finished the regular season with one goal and three assists in 19 games this season. Dynamo begins the West Quarterfinals on Tuesday versus Torpedo Niznhy Novgorod.

High School

Nate Clurman (Culver Academy):Nate Clurman and Culver Academy competed in two games this week, skating past Team Illinois both times. They won 3-1 on Saturday and then crushed Team Illinois 7-0 on Sunday.

Central Interior Hockey League

Luke Walker (Terrace River Kings): Walker is currently playing for the Terrace River Kings in the Central Interior Hockey League in British Columbia. Colorado's fifth-round draft choice in 2010 spent the last three seasons in Europe.
