SAN JOSE, Calif.--The Colorado Avalanche takes on the Arizona Coyotes in its second contest of the Prospect Showcase on Monday night at Solar4America Ice.

Game time is at 8 p.m. MT. Every contest of the showcase is being streamed live online.

Both clubs are coming off losses in their opening contests of the rookie tournament. Colorado lost 7-4 to the San Jose Sharks on Saturday, while Arizona fell 4-1 to the Anaheim Ducks later in the evening.

The Avalanche received goals from J.T. Compher, Nicolas Meloche, Gustav Olhaver and Hugo Roy, while Spencer Martin and Francis Leclerc each played half the outing in goal.

This will be the first half of back-to-back contests for the Avs and Coyotes, and Colorado will have an extremely tight turnaround between the two outings. The Avalanche's second game of the set is against Anaheim at 1 p.m. MT on Tuesday.

The Ducks are presently the leader at the Prospect Showcase with two victories. They defeated the Sharks 7-1 on Sunday afternoon.
