Avalanche At The 2012 Entry Draft

The 2012 NHL Entry Draft will be held this Friday and Saturday, June 22-23, at the CONSOL Energy Center in Pittsburgh.

The first round of the 2012 Entry Draft will take place on Friday beginning at 5:00 p.m. MT (televised on NBC Sports Network).  Rounds 2-7 will be held on Saturday starting at 8:00 a.m. MT (NHL Network).

“As a staff we feel good about this weekend,” said Avalanche Director of Amateur Scouting Rick Pracey.  “We are hopeful to add some prospects to our organization and build upon the success of our recent drafts.”

Colorado enters the draft with picks in the second round (41st overall), third round (72nd), fifth round (132nd), sixth round (162nd) and seventh round (192nd).
