Cale Makar St. Louis Blues 14 April 2021

The Colorado Avalanche continues its three-game series at the St. Louis Blues this afternoon as the teams face off at 1 p.m. MT in a nationally-televised game on NBC.
Colorado won 4-2 in the first matchup on Thursday night to win its fifth game in a row and clinch a postseason berth for the fourth-straight season. The Avs were the second team in the NHL to punch their ticket to the Stanley Cup Playoffs.

The Avalanche did not have a morning skate today due to the early start time, so the club's exact lineup likely won't be known until closer to game time.
Goaltender Devan Dubnyk has played the last two games for Colorado and stopped 25-of-27 shots in Thursday's matchup. Avs netminder Jonas Johansson last started on April 11 at Anaheim, making 24 saves in the victory and improving his record to 3-0-1 with the squad since being acquired in a trade with the Buffalo Sabres on March 20.
Goalie Philipp Grubauer was removed from the NHL's COVID-protocol list on Friday, but he won't join the Avs during this four-game trip that wraps up with contests on Monday in St. Louis and Wednesday at the Vegas Golden Knights.
The Avalanche has won 999 regular-season games since moving to Denver for the 1995-96 campaign and is looking to become the sixth NHL team reach 1,000 victories in the last 25 seasons.
Below is the Avalanche's projected lineup for today's game based on the forward combinations and defensive pairings from Thursday. They are subject to change.
