Avalanche Announces Training Camp Dates

The Colorado Avalanche Hockey Club announced today its training camp dates for the upcoming 2010-11 season.


The Avalanche will begin its 2010 training camp on Sept. 17, with veterans reporting for medical and physical tests.  The full squad will be on the ice for two days, Saturday, Sept. 18 and Sunday, Sept. 19 at the South Suburban Family Sports Center. Practices and scrimmages will take place in the morning from roughly 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.  All sessions are open to the public at no charge on a first-come, first-served basis.

The Avalanche will hold its annual Burgundy/White Game on Monday, Sept. 20 at the 1STBANK Center in Broomfield (6:30 p.m.).  Colorado will begin its exhibition schedule on Tuesday, Sept. 21 at St. Louis, followed by its preseason home opener on Wednesday, Sept. 22 against Los Angeles at Pepsi Center.

Rookies report on Sept. 12 and will hold off-ice workouts before the beginning of training camp.

The Avalanche’s training camp roster will be announced in the near future.
