DENVER - The Colorado Avalanche Hockey Club announced Monday that it has acquired Anaheim's second-round selection (previously held by Atlanta) in the 2007 NHL Entry Draft in exchange for forward George Parros. In addition, the deal includes an option for Anaheim to swap third-round choices with the Avalanche for the upcoming 2007 draft.
Parros was claimed off waivers by the Avalanche from Los Angeles a day before the season opener on Oct. 3. He has played in two games with the Avs (no points) after missing the first nine games of the season due to a bruised shoulder.
The Avalanche will now have three second-round choices in addition to its first round pick in the 2007 Entry Draft.
With this latest move, Colorado's roster includes 25 players, 22 active and three on injured reserve.
