DENVER – The Colorado Avalanche Hockey Club’s annual charity golf tournament held at The Ridge at Castle Pines North went over the $800,000 mark for total money raised with Thursday’s sold-event bringing in over $75,000.
“This event has always been very popular and is one of our biggest fund raisers,” said Deb Dowling-Canino, Vice President of Community Relations for Kroenke Sports Enterprises. “Each year it’s a great way to kick off our community relations efforts prior to the start of the Avalanche season. We are proud of our involvement in the community and the continued efforts by the Avalanche players to make every event a success.”
Since 1995, the Colorado Avalanche Charity Fund has made donations in excess of $11 million to local charities that promote the health and welfare of children and families throughout Colorado. The Colorado Avalanche Charity Fund, part of the Kroenke Sports Charity Group was recognized nationally in 2001 for its philanthropic endeavors.Click here to see a photo gallery from the event
