Capitals-Bruins-Puppies

Both the Washington Capitals and Boston Bruins had a pretty ruff day on Monday.

The teams participated in their annual dog calendar shoots and some of the best shots were previewed on social media.

The Bruins calendar is called "Pucks and Pups." Boston defenseman Charlie McAvoy and forward David Pastrnak each got involved in the shoot, with McAvoy first offering a helping hand to one of the bulldog's on site.

Pastrnak then got up close and personal with a very good golden retriever, who Pastrnak hoped would shape up the Bruins locker room.

The shoot for the Caps Canine Calendar featured Washington's players in dapper attire with their favorite dogs.

The Caps Canine Calendar will be available to the public Nov. 20, with proceeds benefitting Homeward Trails, a Beltway-based organization that adopts dogs and cats from high-kill shelters in Virginia, Maryland and Washington, D.C.
