Del Zotto signs one-year contract with Ducks

Michael Del Zotto signed a one-year contract with the Anaheim Ducks on Tuesday. Financial terms were not released.

The defenseman finished last season with the Stanley Cup champion St. Louis Blues after being traded by Anaheim on Feb. 25 for a sixth-round pick in the 2019 NHL Draft. He did not play any Stanley Cup Playoff games for St. Louis.
Del Zotto, who turned 29 on June 24, had three assists in seven regular-season games for St. Louis after getting three assists in 12 games for Anaheim, which acquired him in a trade with the Vancouver Canucks on Jan. 17 for a seventh-round pick in the 2020 NHL Draft. He had one goal and three assists in 23 games for Vancouver.

He was the No. 20 pick in the 2008 NHL Draft by the New York Rangers and has 221 points (54 goals, 167 assists) in 608 NHL games for the Rangers, Nashville Predators, Philadelphia Flyers, Canucks, Ducks and Blues.

and restricted free agent forwards
Chase De Leo
and
Justin Kloos
to one-year, two-way contracts Financial terms were not released.

Wideman had two goals and five assists in 25 games with the Ottawa Senators, Edmonton Oilers and Florida Panthers last season. The 29-year-old has 45 points (16 goals, 29 assists) in 181 regular-season games.
De Leo, who had a salary arbitration hearing scheduled for July 27, has no points in three NHL games with the Ducks and Winnipeg Jets. The 23-year-old had 55 points (20 goals, 35 assists) in 66 games with San Diego of the American Hockey League last season.
Kloos has no points in two NHL games with the Ducks and Minnesota Wild. The 25-year-old had 45 points (18 goals, 27 assists) in 59 games with San Diego and Iowa of the AHL last season.
