BOS@DET: Martin Frk accidentally dons wrong helmet

Martin Frk really knows how to stand out from the crowd.

The Detroit Red Wings forward had his coaches and teammates chuckling on Thanksgiving Eve, and at first he wasn't sure why.
Turns out he was wearing the wrong color helmet for warmups before a game against the Boston Bruins at Little Caeser's Arena on Wednesday.
Frk skated out with a red helmet over the white jersey while everyone else on the team was wearing the matching white helmet. After realizing his mistake, he made the switch.
In Frk's defense, the Red Wings usually wear their red jerseys and helmets at home, except for select home dates where they wear white.
Teams changed from wearing mainly white at home to primary color uniforms before the 2003-04 season. Frk was only 10 years old during that season.
