Fisher-Tribute-1

This one's for you, Red.

The sport of hockey lost a giant with the death of Red Fisher at age 91 on Friday. The legendary writer covered the Montreal Canadiens for over five decades.
Before puck drop against the Boston Bruins at Bell Centre on Saturday, Fisher was honored with a video tribute to his incredible career and a moment of silence from players and fans.

Fisher's impact on the sport and his peers was felt all throughout his career, in which he covered 17 of the Canadiens 24 Stanley Cup championships.
Where he will be missed the most, professionally, will be in the press box, where his long-time colleagues paid tribute to him with a Chivas toast and by leaving his press box seat at center ice vacant, save for game notes and some tools of the trade.
