Crawford

Corey Crawford was placed on injured reserve by the Chicago Blackhawks on Monday after he sustained a concussion Sunday against the San Jose Sharks.

The Blackhawks do not have a timetable for how long Crawford will be sidelined, coach Jeremy Colliton said before Chicago hosted the Nashville Predators on Tuesday (8:30 p.m. ET; NBCSN, NBCSCH, NHL.TV).
"He just needs time to get better," Colliton said. "You feel for him. As a person, you want him to get back to 100 percent as quick as he can. Until then, we'll keep battling."
Colliton did not provide further information on Crawford's concussion.
"I'm not sure the specifics with regard to symptoms," Colliton said. "Just that he's in concussion protocol and we'll go from there."
The 33-year-old goalie was injured when teammate Dylan Strome crashed into him with 1:30 left in the first period of a 7-3 loss Sunday.
Crawford missed the final 47 games of 2017-18 and the first five this season recovering from a concussion.
