Travis Dermott and John Tavares scored, and Andersen made 27 saves for Toronto (29-17-2), which has lost two in a row and is 1-4-0 in its past five games.
"We just have to stay the course, stay with it and keep working through it," Tavares said. "It's not easy at times, but this is a great challenge of character and a great opportunity to find a way to figure it out and solve that puzzle of where we need to get to."
Dermott gave the Maple Leafs a 1-0 lead at 11:45 of the first period on a shot from the left point. William Nylander had his first point in eight games with an assist on the goal.
Mario Kempe tied it 1-1 at 2:16 of the second period. Alex Goligoski's stretch pass hit off Crouse's stick, but Kempe gathered the loose puck and got behind Maple Leafs defensemen Martin Marincin and Igor Ozhiganov before scoring on a breakaway. Maple Leafs coach Mike Babcock challenged the play for offside, but the call was upheld after a video review.
Clayton Keller gave the Coyotes a 2-1 lead at 15:19, beating Andersen short side from the left circle.
"We played the right way. We came out a little bit slow, but when we settled down a little bit and stuck to our game plan, that's when we got some chances and put some pucks in," Keller said. "Anytime you get some momentum, you seem to play more simple, and I think we did that."
Tavares tied it 2-2 at 3:12 of the third period. Zach Hyman won the face-off to Mitchell Marner, who passed to Tavares for a one-timer from the slot.
Crouse made it 4-2 when he scored into an empty net with 38 seconds left.
"We're really finding our identity in how we want to play as a team so it's good," Hinostroza said. "It doesn't matter (who's in the lineup), we've got so many great characters in here whether somebody is jumping in or out of the lineup, it's great to see and great to be a part of."
