COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) -Patrick Sharp and Jim Vandermeer both scored twice as the Chicago Blackhawks had three power-play goals to beat the Columbus Blue Jackets 5-2 in a preseason game Friday night.

Tony Salmelainen also scored for Chicago (3-0) and Corey Crawford made 33 saves. Geoff Platt and Duvie Westcott scored for Columbus (2-2). Ty Conklin stopped 23 shots.

Sharp started the scoring, converting a cross-ice pass from Mikael Holmqvist during a power play at 7:53 of the first period.

Columbus responded in the second period when Platt snapped home a goal from in close. Westcott made it 2-1 with slap shot from the right circle during a power play at 9:06.

Chicago answered with two goals in 2:07 late in the second.

Vandermeer beat Conklin with a slap shot from the point at 15:12 on a power play. With a two-man advantage, Chicago worked the puck down low to Sharp, who beat Conklin at 17:19 to make it 3-2.

Vandermeer beat Conklin with a low shot at 10:40 of the third period and Salmelainen closed the scoring with a long shot at 18:05.
