Marc-Andre Fleury will not travel with the Vegas Golden Knights for their game against the San Jose Sharks on Thursday (10 p.m. ET; NBCSN, NHL.TV) but the goaltender could join them later, coach Gerard Gallant said Wednesday.

Fleury was hit in the mask by a shot during the first period of a 4-1 win against the Vancouver Canucks on Tuesday. He was replaced by Malcolm Subban at the start of the second period with Vegas leading 3-0 and received credit for his 402nd NHL victory.
"Not getting into specifics with what he's doing, but he's not going to come today," Gallant said. "He may join us tomorrow or in the near future.
"He's not coming on our plane today. He could be with us there the next day. I don't know."

The Golden Knights complete their two-game trip at the Colorado Avalanche on Saturday.
Fleury missed 25 games earlier in the season because of a concussion. The 33-year-old is 27-11-3 with a 2.18 goals-against average and .930 save percentage for the Golden Knights (47-21-5), who are first in the Pacific Division, eight points ahead of the Sharks.
Vegas recalled goaltender Oscar Dansk from Chicago of the American Hockey League on an emergency basis. Dansk was 3-0-0 with a 1.78 goals-against average and .946 save percentage in four games with the Golden Knights from Oct. 21-30.
