Game Day Notes: Sens vs. Bruins

Game time is scheduled for a little after 5 p.m. and we've got some details about a few injured defencemen, the latest on the Sens' projected line-up and more before puck drop against the Bruins.

Projected Line-up

Welp. You can add a few more names to the Sens' injured list as both Dylan DeMelo (upper body) and Christian Jaros (lower body) have been ruled out for today's game. DeMelo was injured last night against the Penguins but was able to finish the game. Unfortunately, there isn't a timeline for his return yet and it's unclear if he'll even be healthy enough to join the Sens for their 3-game road trip next week.
Jaros, who was a late scratch for yesterday's contest, is currently listed as day-to-day. As a result of these injuries the Sens have recalled Erik Burgdoerfer from Belleville and he'll draw into the line-up today against the Bruins.

In Goal

With today's game being the second half of a back-to-back, the Sens will turn to Mike McKenna (1-1-0) in goal today against the Bruins. McKenna's last outing was a 4-3 victory in Philadelphia on November 27th where he recorded his first win as an Ottawa Senator.

Previous Meeting

These teams last faced off at Canadian Tire Centre back on October 23rd where the Bruins picked up their second win over the Senators this season. Thomas Chabot scored the Sens' lone goal in defeat while Craig Anderson stopped 28 of the 32 Bruins shots he faced.
"It's a game of momentum. We've just got to manage the momentum a little bit better," Anderson said following the loss. "We thought we played a great second period again where we took the play to them a lot, so a lot of good things in that game tonight. Nothing to be shaking our heads about."
