OTTAWA, Ontario--Nearing the end of its 10-day journey across Canada, the Colorado Avalanche elected to have an optional practice before its final game of the road trip.
About half of the Avs took the ice at Canadian Tire Centre on Tuesday afternoon for a 30-minute session with the team's assistant coaches. Those in attendance included forwards Sven Andrighetto, Gabriel Bourque, Sheldon Dries, Tyson Jost, Alexander Kerfoot and Matt Nieto; defensemen Mark Barberio, Samuel Girard, Ryan Graves and Patrik Nemeth; and goaltender Philipp Grubauer.
