Josh Anderson Swift Current Broncos Memorial Cup

The Western Hockey League champion Swift Current Broncos fell 4-3 in overtime to the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League champion Acadie-Bathurst in Regina, Saskatchewan on Saturday.
It was the first game for both teams in the 2018 Memorial Cup and Swift Current defenseman and Colorado Avalanche prospect Josh Anderson finished with a plus-1 rating.

The Broncos were 4-for-4 on the penalty kill and 1-for-5 on the power play, but the Titan scored twice while shorthanded, including the game-tying goal early in the third period. Acadie-Bathurst ended the contest with an even-strength tally 2:58 into the extra stanza.
The Broncos face the Hamilton Bulldogs, the champions of the Ontario Hockey League, on Monday to continue round-robin play.
Acadie-Bathurst returns to action on Sunday against the host-team Regina Pats and Avalanche prospect Nick Henry. The Pats won the first game of the tournament 3-2 over the Bulldogs on Friday.
