Scott Green, 36, became the Atlanta Thrashers first head athletic trainer after serving as an assistant athletic trainer for the Carolina Hurricanes for the 1997-98 and 1998-99 seasons. Green, who has worked in more than 1,000 professional hockey contests, began his career as athletic trainer for the American Hockey League's New Haven Nighthawks from 1986-91. Before that, Scott was head athletic trainer for the International Hockey League's Phoenix Roadrunners from 1991-97. He is a certified member of the National Athletic Trainers' Association and the National Strength and Conditioning Association. The Indianapolis native received an undergraduate degree in secondary education with an emphasis in athletic training from Butler University in 1986. An avid golfer, Scott and his wife, Trina, reside in Suwanee, Ga.

The career of Bobby Stewart, 50, turned full circle in 1999, as he returned to Atlanta, where he made his NHL debut in 1973 as equipment manager for the Atlanta Flames. Stewart remained with the Flames' organization through its move to Calgary; he accepted the Thrashers' top equipment management post in their first season in 1999. The Montreal native established roots in hockey at an early age, frequenting the Forum often enough to become the Canadians' stick boy during the mid-1960s. Bobby later served as head equipment manager of the Montreal Junior Canadiens from 1970-73, winning two Memorial Cups. Other career highlights include the 1989 Stanley Cup Championship with the Flames, and being selected to work at the 1998 World Hockey Championships in Zurich, Switzerland and NHL All-Star Games in 1985 (Calgary) and 1994 (New York). He was recognized by PHATS/SPHEM in 1999 for working more than 2,000 professional hockey games. He is a certified member of the Athletic Equipment Managers Association. Bobby, whose hobbies include golf and travel, resides in Lawrenceville, Ga., with his wife, Sherri, and their son, Joshua.
