Are you ready to "Light the Lamp" of success and reach your goals in life? We hope you are!
And we want to help. The NHL Light the Lamp program offers hints about how you can incorporate the attitudes, abilities and talents that can help you be your best. Not just in hockey. But in school and life in general.
We've signed up some awesome NHL players to help us. Big stars like Wayne Gretzky, Brendan Shanahan and Martin Brodeur will help you with goal setting, teamwork, personal responsibility, thinking positively, and being able to chill out when the heat is on.
The playbook is one of the National Hockey League's coolest! But don't worry, it's not as complicated as the one the pros use. It's filled with word games, contests, and places to write down the awesome stuff you think about.
You can also look for NHL Light the Lamp in your nearest NHL Street center, in NHL markets all across North America. The host cities include Boston, Buffalo, Chicago, Colorado, Dallas, Detroit, Edmonton, Florida, Los Angeles, Nashville, New Jersey, New York, (and Long Island, too), Philadelphia, Phoenix, Pittsburgh, San Jose, St. Louis, Tampa Bay, Toronto, Vancouver, and Washington.
Light the Lamp, a program of NHL Street, is a project created by the NHL and Dr. Michael A. Simon to help youth reach their potential in school, hockey and life. Light the Lamp educational materials are available to NHL Street program centers throughout the U.S. and Canada.
