CALGARY, Alberta (AP) -Jarome Iginla has been carrying the Calgary Flames lately.

Iginla scored the go-ahead goal and added two assists to lead the Flames to a 4-1 victory over the Edmonton Oilers on Saturday night.

He and Daymond Langkow hooked up at 9:21 of the second period to break open a 1-1 tie. Langkow carried the puck around the Oilers net and slickly backhanded a perfect pass onto the stick of Iginla in the slot, and the Flames captain snapped a quick shot past goalie Dwayne Roloson.

Iginla extended his point-scoring streak to five games. During that time he has five goals and 11 points.

"We had a good game as a team," said Iginla, who has racked up five goals and 11 points in a five-game scoring streak. "Right from the start of the game, I thought we were really going."

Kristian Huselius, Dion Phaneuf, and Adrian Aucoin also scored for Calgary (4-2-2). The Flames have earned points in five straight games (4-0-1) and have begun a season-long seven-game homestand with two straight wins.

Rookie center Sam Gagner scored his first NHL goal for Edmonton (3-5-0). The Oilers have lost five of their last six after starting the season with a pair of wins.

"We played a decent second period and we started off in the first half of the third period very well too. Then we had a good opportunity on the power-play and we made some idiotic decisions on our breakouts, bringing the puck out into traffic, totally out of synch," said Oilers coach Craig MacTavish. "On the next shift, they get a power-play and they get it in the back of the net and the game from that point was effectively over."

Leading 2-1 in the third, Calgary put the game away with power-play goals from Phaneuf and Aucoin in the final five minutes.

Calgary got a power-play nine seconds into the game when Dustin Penner was sent off for tripping, and the Flames took immediate advantage.

Phaneuf's wrist shot missed the net but a lively carom off the end boards sent the puck back in front and right on the stick of a darting Huselius, who neatly flipped it inside the goal post.

Notes: Huselius, Iginla, and Langkow have accounted for 18 of Calgary's 29 goals. ... After recording his 500th career point Thursday night, Langkow reached another milestone with his 300th assist. ... Dating back to last season, Edmonton C Jarret Stoll has gone 16 games without scoring.
