-He spent the first half of the 2012-13 season in the AHL with the Oklahoma City Barons, where he was second in league scoring behind Jordan Eberle, registering 48 points (18G, 30A) in 34 games.
 
-Scored First NHL goal against the San Jose Sharks on Jan. 22/13.
 
-Was awarded the Eddie Shore Award as the AHL Defenceman of the Year. He is the first rookie in the 55-year history of the Eddie Shore Award to earn the honour.
