He was selected to participate in the 2008 AHL All-Star Classic claiming the Top Goaltender Award in the skills competition.

HE SAID IT
On adjusting to the NHL: "It's a big adjustment, but it's a lot of fun. You get used to the pace and the skill level of an NHL player."

On his idols growing up: "My cousin used to play goalie growing up and he had a big influence on me. He is the biggest reason why I started to play goalie. In NHL I used watch Patrick Roy and John Vanbiesbrouck play when growing up.

THEY SAID IT
Nashville goaltending coach Mitch Korn: "He's such a positive guy. A lot of goalies would have been unhappy -- we use the term sour -- at different times not being called up or when he was sent to Milwaukee after training camp. But he's got a tremendous attitude. He's a laid back guy and he goes with the flow."

IN THE NEWS
Rinne Readying Himself for NHL Opportunity
Quote of the Day
