In 2007-08, Rinne led the American Hockey League in wins (36), appearances (65) and minutes played (3840) -- his 36 wins tied an Admirals franchise record. He was selected to participate in the 2008 AHL All-Star Classic claiming the Top Goaltender Award in the skills competition. <br />

On adjusting to the NHL: "It's a big adjustment, but it's a lot of fun. Even when I am not playing I try to watch different players on different teams to see what their tendencies are. It's a really exciting time. ... Once you get a couple of games under you it gets easier. You get used to the pace and the skill level of an NHL player." <br />

On his idols growing up: "My cousin used to play goalie growing up and he had a big influence on me. He is the biggest reason why I started to play goalie. In NHL I used watch Patrick Roy and John Vanbiesbrouck play when growing up. <br />

Nashville goaltending coach Mitch Korn: "He's such a positive guy. A lot of goalies would have been unhappy -- we use the term sour -- at different times not being called up or when he was sent to Milwaukee after training camp. But he's got a tremendous attitude. He's a laid back guy and he goes with the flow." <br />
