Even when I am not playing I try to watch different players on different teams to see what their tendencies are. It's a really exciting time. ... Once you get a couple of games under you it gets easier. You get used to the pace and the skill level of an NHL player.&quot; <br /> <br /> On his idols growing up: &quot;My cousin used to play goalie growing up and he had a big influence on me. He is the biggest reason why I started to play goalie. In NHL I used watch Patrick Roy and John Vanbiesbrouck play when growing up. <br /> <br /> <a name="they"></a><b>THEY SAID IT</b><br /> Nashville goaltending coach Mitch Korn: &quot;He's such a positive guy. A lot of goalies would have been unhappy -- we use the term sour -- at different times not being called up or when he was sent to Milwaukee after training camp. But he's got a tremendous attitude.
