Will be playing for his country for the fourth time -- won a gold medal with Canada at the 2005 World Junior Championship and a silver at the 2004 World Juniors.

Played on a line with Nigel Dawes and Anthony Stewart at his first World Junior Championship as the Canadians lost a 3-1 lead in the third period to the U.S. in the gold medal game to fall short of the gold.  Richards' line accounted for all three goals in the gold medal game.

Served as captain of Team Canada at 2005 World Juniors.  Team featured fellow 2010 Olympians Patrice Bergeron, Sidney Crosby, Ryan Getzlaf and Corey Perry.  Richards' line (Dawes and Stewart) were the defensive shutdown trio for Canada.

Played on one of the all-time great Canadian teams at the 2005 World Junior Championship -- along with fellow 2010 Olympians Sidney Crosby, Brent Seabrook, Shea Weber, Corey Perry, Patrice Bergeron and Ryan Getzlaf.

It's hard to walk into that locker room and look those guys in the eye when they've played -- clearly, that was our best game we've played in the series -- and I thought we deserved a better fate tonight.

— Tampa Bay Lightning coach Jon Cooper on his team's 3-2 loss to the Canadiens in Game 3 on Sunday
