Kathryn Tappen started at NHL Network in 2011 and currently provides coverage of NHL signature events, including the Bridgestone NHL Winter Classic, NHL All-Star Game, Stanley Cup Playoffs and Stanley Cup Final, as well as other NHL Network programs.

Previously, Tappen was host of the NHL Network's premier "NHL Tonight" highlights show.

Prior to her time at NHL Network, Tappen was the weekend anchor and weekday sports reporter at WJAR in Providence, R.I., an NBC affiliate.

In 2006, Tappen joined New England Sports Network (NESN), where she served as studio host for Boston Bruins games and as a lead anchor for "SportsDesk."
