Gerard Gallant
Head Coach

A native of Summerside, P.E.I, Gerard Gallant is the head coach of the Florida Panthers after being hired on June 21, 2014. A 6th-round selection, 107th overall, by the Detroit Red Wings in the 1981 NHL Entry Draft, Gallant went on to play 11 seasons in the NHL, with Detroit and Tampa Bay, from 1984 to 1995. Born on September 2, 1963, he played 615 NHL games, scoring 211 goals and 480 points, serving 1,674 penalty minutes. ...more
John Madden
Assistant Coach

John Madden returned to the Florida Panthers organization for the 2013-14 season as a pro scout after helping the team win the 2011-2012 Southeast Division championship. He was named assistant coach of Florida on Nov. 8, 2013 after GM Dale Tallon fired head coach Kevin Dineen and assistant coaches Gord Murphy and Craig Ramsay.  ...more
Mike Kelly
Assistant Coach

Mike Kelly was hired as a Panthers assistant on July 7, 2014. Kelly, 54, spent the last four seasons working with the Saint John Sea Dogs of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League, serving as head coach and general manager (2012-2013) and director of hockey operations/associate head coach (2009-2012). Working alongside Gallant, the duo led the Sea Dogs to three first-place finishes, three league final appearances, two QMJHL championships (2011 & 2012) and one Memorial Cup (2011). ...more
Mark Morris
Assistant Coach

Mark Morris was named to the Panthers coaching staff on July 7, 2014. Morris, 56, has spent the last eight seasons as head coach of the Manchester Monarchs (AHL), earning a record of 338-224-66 in the regular season and 35-50 in the postseason. He owns Manchester’s record for most games coached (552), regular season wins (338) and post-season wins (35), while his teams have advanced to the playoffs seven out of eight years under his guidance.  ...more
Robb Tallas

Robb Tallas enters his fourth season as a member of the Florida Panthers coaching staff. Throughout his 13-year playing career, Tallas appeared in 99 career National Hockey League games with the Boston Bruins (1995-2000) and Chicago Blackhawks (2000-01).The Edmonton, Alberta native also serves as a hockey instructor at the Florida Panthers official practice facility, Saveology.com Iceplex and has previously worked with several NHL goalies.  ...more
