Battle of conference leaders leads Friday's schedule

'Canes set to meet Devils on VERSUS, TSN2

The New Jersey Devils' bid for a third straight victory will be televised nationally Tuesday night.

New Jersey (6-5-1), which is coming off a 3-2 overtime win against the Winnipeg Jets on Saturday night, will host the Carolina Hurricanes (5-6-3) at the Prudential Center. Game time is slated for 7:30 p.m. ET and can be seen on VERSUS in the United States and TSN2 in Canada.

The Hurricanes suffered their second straight loss -- both at home -- on Sunday, when they dropped a 5-2 decision to the Dallas Stars. Carolina has been outscored 10-3 in the two defeats.

Canadian fans will be treated to a second game Tuesday night, as the Montreal Canadiens host the Edmonton Oilers at the Bell Centre. That showdown also begins at 7:30 p.m. ET and can be seen on RDS. Edmonton sits atop the Northwest Division with a record of 8-3-2.

Versus features 11 games set over Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays, including five HD broadcasts, while the NHL Network treats U.S. fans to 11 games set over Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays.
