The NHL Network has your all-access pass to the season-opening extravaganza that celebrates the opening of the 2010-11 season, 2010 NHL Face-Off.
NHL Network will have three hours of live programming from the center of the party, Dundas Square in downtown Toronto. The broadcast will include live performances and exclusive interviews with three of Canada's top bands -- Hedley, Down With Webster and Hey Rosetta! -- while also keeping viewers updated on the action from the first game of the season, the 2010 NHL Compuware Premiere Helsinki game between the
Minnesota Wild and
Carolina Hurricanes.
NHL On The Fly host Brian Duff, panelist
Mike Johnson and reporter Christine Simpson will guide fans through the day, including a hot stove session with
Toronto Maple Leafs alums Darryl Sitler and
Wendel Clark, as well as other special guests. Simpson also will visit the numerous hockey-themed interactive booths, and speak with parents and kids participating in on-ice skill clinics.
During the event, which runs from noon to 7 p.m., fans will have the unique opportunity to host a virtual On The Fly newscast, with help from On The Fly studio analysts
Larry Murphy,
Bill Berg and Craig Button.
