Liles, Carlson to appear on NHL Live!

Colorado Avalanche defenseman John-Michael Liles and Washington Capitals blueliner John Carlson will be among the guests on NHL Live! on Tuesday, scheduled from noon-2 p.m. on NHL Network and NHL.com and broadcast on XM Radio.

Hainsey, 29, is tied for the League lead with 11 assists this season. He was drafted in the fifth round (No. 159) of the 2000 NHL Entry Draft by the Avs.

Just 20 years old, Carlson has a goal and five assists in 11 games for the Caps this season. He was grabbed in the first round (No. 27) by Washington in 2008.

Also scheduled to appear to speak with co-hosts Don La Greca and E.J. Hradek are Mike Sillinger -- who is now the Director of Player Development for the Edmonton Oilers -- as well as USA Today's Kevin Allen, Toronto Maple Leafs play-by-play voice Joe Bowen and Versus analyst Keith Jones.

Hawks visit MSG, Rangers in NHLN's Monday game

The defending champion Chicago Blackhawks open November with a Monday visit to the Big Apple to play the New York Rangers in an Original Six showdown.

The NHL Network will have all the action from Madison Square Garden, beginning at 7 p.m. ET.

Fresh off a busy October that saw Chicago play a League-high 13 games (7-5-1), the Hawks hope to start November by putting together back-to-back wins for the first time since reeling off a four-game winning streak in the middle of October.

'Oil Change' takes fans inside Oilers' summer plans

The Edmonton Oilers spent this past summer laying the foundation for their rebuilding effort from their 30th place finish in the standings last season, and now fans will have an inside look at the process.

"Oil Change," which airs on the NHL Network at 7 p.m. ET on Wednesday, will take fans inside the board room and the locker room as GM Steve Tambellini and others in the front office take apart last season's roster and begin installing a new core of young players, including first-round picks Taylor Hall, Magnus Paajarvi and Jordan Eberle.

Fans will be able to see players signed, traded and cut, watch as coaches reprimand players and listen in on in-game conversations between players.
