NEW YORK -- Winnipeg Jets forward Adam Lowry has been suspended for one game, without pay, for boarding Buffalo Sabres forward Patrick Kaleta during NHL Game No. 323 in Buffalo on Wednesday, November 26, the National Hockey League's Department of Player Safety announced today.

The incident occurred at 14:06 of the second period. Lowry was assessed a major penalty for boarding and a game misconduct.

Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement and, based on his average annual salary, Lowry will forfeit $4,453.41. The money goes to the Players' Emergency Assistance Fund.

NEW YORK – Dallas Stars forward Ryan Garbutt has been suspended for two games, without pay, for kneeing Edmonton Oilers forward Taylor Hall during NHL Game No. 319 in Dallas on Tuesday, Nov. 25, the National Hockey League's Department of Player Safety announced today.

The incident occurred at 12:17 of the third period. Garbutt was assessed a minor penalty for tripping.

Garbutt is considered a repeat offender under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement and, based on his average annual salary, will forfeit $43,902.44. The money goes to the Players' Emergency Assistance Fund.

Winnipeg Jets forward Adam Lowry will have a hearing Thursday afternoon with the Department of Player Safety after an incident with Buffalo Sabres forward Patrick Kaleta in a game Wednesday night at First Niagara Center.

Lowry was given a five-minute major and a game misconduct for boarding Kaleta with 5:54 left in the second period.

Garbutt was assessed a two-minute penalty for tripping Hall near center ice. Hall remained in the game.

The Stars won the game 3-2.

NEW YORK – Dallas Stars forward Antoine Roussel has been fined $5,376.34, the maximum allowable under the Collective Bargaining Agreement, for punching an unsuspecting opponent, San Jose Sharks defenseman Justin Braun, during NHL Game No. 211 in Dallas on Saturday, November 8, the National Hockey League's Department of Player Safety announced today.

The incident occurred at 18:51 of the third period. Roussel was assessed a misconduct penalty.

The money goes to the Players' Emergency Assistance Fund.

Dallas Stars forward Antoine Roussel will have a hearing with the NHL Department of Player Safety on Monday morning as a result of an incident with San Jose Sharks defenseman Justin Braun in the third period at American Airlines Center on Saturday.

Roussel received two minutes for roughing and a 10-minute game misconduct at 18:51 of the third.

NEW YORK – Columbus Blue Jackets defenseman Jack Johnson has been suspended for three games, without pay, for an illegal check to the head of Carolina Hurricanes forward Jiri Tlusty during NHL Game No. 176 in Columbus on Tuesday, Nov. 4, the National Hockey League's Department of Player Safety announced today.

The incident occurred at 7:31 of the third period. Johnson was assessed a minor penalty for illegal check to the head.

Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement and, based on his average annual salary, Johnson will forfeit $70,276.50. The money goes to the Players' Emergency Assistance Fund.

NEW YORK - Nashville Predators defenseman Anton Volchenkov has been suspended for four games, without pay, for an illegal check to the head of Calgary Flames forward Michael Ferland during NHL Game No. 151 in Calgary on Friday, October 31, the National Hockey League’s Department of Player Safety announced today.

The incident occurred at 19:06 of the second period.
