NEW YORK -- New Jersey Devils forward Scott Gomez has been fined $1,478.49, the maximum allowable under the Collective Bargaining Agreement, for elbowing Montreal Canadiens defenseman Alexei Emelin during NHL Game No. 1163 in New Jersey on Friday, April 3, the National Hockey League's Department of Player Safety announced today.
The incident occurred at 14:38 of the second period. Gomez was assessed a major penalty and game misconduct for elbowing.
The money goes to the Players' Emergency Assistance Fund.
NEW YORK – Winnipeg Jets defenseman Dustin Byfuglien has been suspended for four games, without pay, for cross-checking New York Rangers forward J.T. Miller during NHL Game No. 1148 in Winnipeg on Tuesday, March 31, the National Hockey League’s Department of Player Safety announced today.
The incident occurred at 17:20 of the second period.
Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement and based on his average annual salary, Byfuglien will forfeit $111,827.96. The money goes to the Players' Emergency Assistance Fund.
Miller was hit by Byfuglien in front of the Winnipeg net at 17:23 of the second period. No penalty was assessed on the play and Miller remained in the game.
The following grounds are being considered for supplemental discipline: Cross checking. However, the Department of Player Safety retains the right to make adjustments to the infraction upon review.
NEW YORK –New York Rangers forward Tanner Glass has been fined $3,897.85, the maximum allowable under the Collective Bargaining Agreement, for butt-ending Boston Bruins defenseman Adam McQuaid during NHL Game No. 1116 in Boston on Saturday, March 28, the National Hockey League’s Department of Player Safety announced today.
The incident occurred at 20:00 of the third period. Glass was assessed a major penalty and game misconduct for butt-ending.
The money goes to the Players’ Emergency Assistance Fund.
NEW YORK –Columbus Blue Jackets forward Jared Boll has been suspended for three games, without pay, for an illegal check to the head of Anaheim Ducks forward Patrick Maroon during NHL Game No. 1093 in Columbus on Tuesday, March 24, the National Hockey League’s Department of Player Safety announced today.
The incident occurred at 4:02 of the second period.

The incident occurred at 10:58 of the third period. Kadri was assessed a minor penalty for illegal check to the head.
Fraser was hit by Kadri at 10:58 of the third period in Edmonton's 4-1 win. Kadri received a two-minute minor penalty for an illegal check to the head.
NEW YORK – Chicago Blackhawks forward Joakim Nordstrom has been suspended for two games, without pay, for boarding Arizona Coyotes defenseman Oliver Ekman-Larsson during NHL Game No. 1011 in Glendale, Ariz., on Thursday, March 12, the National Hockey League's Department of Player Safety announced today.
The incident occurred at 19:22 of the third period. Nordstrom was assessed a minor penalty for boarding.
