NEW YORK – Colorado Avalanche forward Gabriel Landeskog has been suspended for two games, without pay, for an illegal check to the head of Boston Bruins forward Brad Marchand during NHL Game No. 230 in Boston on Thursday, Nov. 12, the National Hockey League’s Department of Player Safety announced today.

The incident occurred at 5:46 of the second period. Landeskog was assessed a match penalty for illegal check to the head.

Colorado Avalanche forward Gabriel Landeskog will have a hearing Friday with the NHL Department of Player Safety for an illegal check to the head of Boston Bruins forward Brad Marchand during a 3-2 Colorado win Thursday at TD Garden in Boston.

Landeskog received a match penalty for an illegal hit to the head at 5:46 of the second period.

Marchand received a minor penalty for roughing on the play but otherwise remained in the game.

NEW YORK – St. Louis Blues forward Ryan Reaves has been fined $3,024.19, the maximum allowable under the Collective Bargaining Agreement, for roughing Los Angeles Kings forward Anze Kopitar during NHL Game No. 177 in St. Louis on Tuesday, Nov. 3, the National Hockey League's Department of Player Safety announced today.

The incident occurred at 11:56 of the first period.

The money goes to the Players' Emergency Assistance Fund.

Winnipeg Jets defenseman Dustin Byfuglien will have a hearing Tuesday with the NHL Department of Player Safety for an illegal check to the head of Montreal Canadiens forward Brendan Gallagher during a 5-1 Montreal win Sunday at Bell Centre in Montreal.

Byfuglien received a minor penalty for elbowing at 18:36 of the first period.

NEW YORK – Ottawa Senators forward Mark Stone has been suspended for two games, without pay, for an illegal check to the head of Detroit Red Wings forward Landon Ferraro during NHL Game No. 158 in Ottawa on Saturday, October 31, the National Hockey League’s Department of Player Safety announced today.

The incident occurred at 11:08 of the second period. Stone was assessed a minor penalty for illegal check to the head.

Ottawa Senators forward Mark Stone will have a hearing Monday with the NHL Department of Player Safety for an illegal check to the head of Detroit Red Wings forward Landon Ferraro during a 5-3 Detroit win Saturday at Canadian Tire Centre in Ottawa.

Stone received a minor penalty for the illegal check, which took place at 11:08 of the second period.

Ferraro later returned in the second period.

The following grounds are being considered for supplemental discipline: illegal check to the head.

NEW YORK -- Winnipeg Jets forward Alexander Burmistrov has been fined $4,166.67, the maximum allowable under the Collective Bargaining Agreement, for elbowing Minnesota Wild defenseman Jared Spurgeon during NHL Game No. 118 in Winnipeg on Sunday, October 26, the National Hockey League's Department of Player Safety announced today.

The incident occurred at 13:11 of the second period. Burmistrov was assessed a minor penalty for elbowing.

NEW YORK -- Dallas Stars defenseman Jason Demers has been suspended for two games, without pay, for elbowing Pittsburgh Penguins forward Nick Bonino during NHL Game No. 93 in Pittsburgh on Thursday, October 22, the National Hockey League's Department of Player Safety announced today.

The incident occurred at 16:48 of the third period. Demers was assessed a major penalty and game misconduct for elbowing.

NEW YORK – New Jersey Devils forward Stephen Gionta has been fined $2,284.95, the maximum allowable under the Collective Bargaining Agreement, for spearing Ottawa Senators defenseman Mark Borowiecki during NHL Game No. 94 in Ottawa on Thursday, October 22, the National Hockey League's Department of Player Safety announced today.

The incident occurred at 18:18 of the second period. Gionta was assessed a major penalty and game misconduct for spearing.

NEW YORK – Colorado Avalanche defenseman Tyson Barrie has been suspended for three games, without pay, for charging and interference against Anaheim Ducks defenseman Simon Despres during NHL Game No. 63 in Anaheim on Friday, Oct. 16, the National Hockey League's Department of Player Safety announced today.

The incident occurred at 11:30 of the second period.

Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement and, based on his average annual salary, Barrie will forfeit $41,935.47. The money goes to the Players' Emergency Assistance Fund.
