NHL Network to broadcast CCM/USA Hockey All-American Prospects Game from Buffalo

First Niagara Center hosts 42 2015 NHL draft-eligible players on Thursday

COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. — USA Hockey announced today that NHL Network will broadcast the third annual CCM/USA Hockey All-American Prospects Game Thursday (Sept. 25) live from First Niagara Center in Buffalo, New York, home of the NHL's Buffalo Sabres. Coverage begins at 7 p.m. ET.

The CCM/USA Hockey All-American Prospects Game will feature 42 top American prospects eligible for the 2015 NHL Entry Draft.

The broadcast team will include NHL Live co-hosts Steve Mears, who will provide play-by-play, and EJ Hradek alongside Dan Bylsma, head coach of the 2104 U.S. Men's Olympic Ice Hockey Team, who will serve as game analysts.

NEW YORK / TORONTO -- NHL Network™-U.S. will begin its 2014-15 preseason broadcast schedule with the Buffalo Sabres-Washington Capitals game on Sunday, Sept. 21, at 5:00 p.m. ET. Highlighted by rivalries, doubleheaders, player debuts, the Sept. 24 2014 Kraft Hockeyville game featuring the Arizona Coyotes and Calgary Flames in Sylvan Lake, Alta., and the Oct. 4 Colorado Avalanche-Los Angeles Kings matchup at MGM Grand in Las Vegas, NHL Network-U.S. will carry 22 preseason game broadcasts live heading into the 2014-15 regular season.

NHL Live™, one of NHL Network's signature programs, makes its return on Monday, Sept. 22, at 5:00 p.m. ET. Tappen to join NBC Sports Group, continue on NHLN

NHL Network host Kathryn Tappen is joining NBC Sports Group, where she will appear on NHL coverage and a variety of other sports programming. Tappen will serve as a host for NHL Live and NHL Overtime, NBC Sports Group's pregame, intermission, and postgame NHL studio programs.

Tappen will continue to appear on NHL Network, where she has served as the lead host of its flagship studio show, NHL Tonight, since 2011. Tappen will provide coverage of the League's signature events, including the Bridgestone NHL Winter Classic, NHL All-Star Game, Stanley Cup Playoffs and Stanley Cup Final, as well as other NHL Network programs.

This marks the first time Sportsnet's coverage will be available to viewers in the U.S., following the landmark Canadian rights deal between the National Hockey League and Rogers.

Bylsma joins NHL Network as analyst for Cup Final

Stanley Cup-winning coach to appear on NHL Network for Game 3 in New York

NEW YORK – Former NHL player and coach Dan Bylsma will join NHL Network as a studio analyst for Game 3 of the 2014 Stanley Cup Final. NHL Network will broadcast live from New York at Chase Plaza outside Madison Square Garden, with extensive coverage of the Final.

Bylsma led the Pittsburgh Penguins to the 2009 Stanley Cup championship after taking over behind the bench midway through the season. He won the Jack Adams Award as the League's top coach in 2010-11, directed the United States Olympic team at the 2014 Sochi Games, and compiled a franchise-record 252 wins over his five-year tenure in Pittsburgh.

NEW YORK – NHL Network will air a new half-hour live program during the 2014 Olympic Winter Games in Sochi, Russia, the National Hockey League announced today. From Feb. 12 through Feb. 23, NHL Tonight: 2014 Sochi Edition presented by McDonald's will chronicle the men's Olympic ice hockey tournament through interviews, game analysis, news and highlights.

Hosted by Kathryn Tappen live from Sochi, NHL Tonight: 2014 Sochi Edition will bring viewers the latest in the men's Olympic hockey competition. Joining Tappen from NHL Network's studio in Toronto will be co-hosts EJ Hradek and Mark Roe and analysts Mike Johnson, Jamie McLennan and Kevin Weekes.

NEW YORK - NHL Network-U.S. and NHL.com will offer fans in the United States the opportunity to watch live competition from the 2014 International Ice Hockey Federation World Junior Championship, Dec. 26-Jan. 5 from Malmo, Sweden. The IIHF World Junior Championship features the top men's hockey players in the world under the age of 20 and is one of the featured events on the world hockey calendar each year.

NHL Network-U.S. will broadcast 18 live contests from the 2014 IIHF World Junior Championship, including every game from Team USA's group -- which features games against Canada, Czech Republic, Germany and Slovakia -- as well as the quarterfinals, semifinals, and bronze- and gold-medal games.

NHL Network-U.S. will get an early start to the Thanksgiving celebration with a weekend hockey smorgasbord.

Saturday will feature a tripleheader, staring with the Carolina Hurricanes visiting the Boston Bruins for a 1 p.m. ET puck drop. The Bruins will be looking for a repeat of the teams' game Monday when Reilly Smith and Carl Soderberg each had a goal and an assist in the Bruins' 4-1 win in Raleigh.

Then at 7 p.m. ET the Washington Capitals and hot-shooting captain Alex Ovechkin will visit the Toronto Maple Leafs. Ovechkin is tied for the League lead with 17 goals and has 40 goals in his past 43 games.
