A group of fans traveling to Barclays Center on Thursday to watch the New York Islanders host the New York Rangers for the second time this season were in for a treat when they ran into former Islanders great Mike Bossy on the Long Island Rail Road.
Bossy played 10 seasons for the Islanders (1977-87) and was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1991. The LIRR has become a popular form of transportation for Long Islanders traveling into Brooklyn now that the Islanders no longer play their home games at Nassau Coliseum.
