SAN JOSE, Calif. - Injured Sharks winger Tomas Hertl will remain out for tonight's Game 4 of the Stanley Cup final.
Hertl missed Game 3 with a lower-body injury and remains day-to-day, according to Sharks head coach Pete DeBoer.
The 22-year-old, who plays alongside Joe Thornton and Joe Pavelski on the Sharks' top line, was replaced on Saturday evening by Swedish winger Melker Karlsson.
Logan Couture, the post-season's leading scorer, also spent some time alongside Thornton and Pavelski in the third period of the Sharks 3-2 overtime win.
Hertl had a career-high 46 points during the regular season, and DeBoer said he was arguably the Sharks best player in the first two games of the final.
San Jose trails Pittsburgh 2-1 in the best-of-seven series.
