QMJHL Roundup: Bouchard perfect in Wildcats' 6-0 shutout of Voltigeurs

MONCTON, N.B. - Keven Bouchard stopped all 27 shots he faced as the Moncton Wildcats shut out the Drummondville Voltigeurs 6-0 on Friday in Quebec Major Junior Hockey League action.

Conor Garland scored twice for the Wildcats (34-18-10), who have won back-to-back games. Cody Donaghey had a goal and set up two others, while Ryan Mooney, Vaclav Karabacek and Will Smith rounded out the attack.

Frederic Foulem made 29 saves as Drummondville (26-35-2) dropped its third straight.

Moncton went 2 for 6 on the power play and the Voltigeurs were 0 for 3 with the man advantage.

BOISBRIAND, Que. — Samuel Montembeault turned aside 22 shots as the Armada blanked Quebec.

Pascal Corbeil and Anthony Poulin had power-play goals in the third period for Blainville-Boisbriand (23-31-8). Tyler Hylland and TJ Melancon also scored.

Evgeny Kiselev made 19 saves for the Remparts (28-28-6).

VICTORIAVILLE, Que. — Timo Meier had a hat trick to lead Rouyn-Noranda to its seventh straight win with a victory over the Tigres.

Martins Dzierkals, Bruno-Carl Denis, Anthony-John Greer and Jeremy Lauzon rounded out the attack for the Huskies (47-9-5).

Mario Huber replied for Victoriaville (30-25-7).

BAIE-COMEAU, Que. — Jan Mandat, Alexis Pepin and Anthony Beauregard all scored in the first period as Val-d'Or sailed past the Drakkar.

Shawn Ouellette-St-Amant scored his 21st goal of the season in the third for the Foreurs (45-12-4).

Fabrizio Ricci was the lone scorer for Baie-Comeau (10-46-5).

RIMOUSKI, Que. — Julien Pelletier put away the winner at the 15:23 mark of the third period as Sherbrooke sank the Oceanic.

Anthony Chapados and Kay Schweri scored earlier for the Phoenix (23-29-9), while Nathanael Halbert added an empty-net goal.

Tyler Boland and Antoine Dufort-Plante both had power-play goals for Rimouski (33-23-6).

SHAWINIGAN, Que. — Elie Berube's power-play goal late in the third period stood as the winner in Chicoutimi's victory over the Cataractes.

Dmitry Zhukenov scored twice with the man advantage for the Sagueneens (29-24-9). Nicolas Roy, Zachary Lavigne and Landon Schiller also chipped in.

Alexis D'Aoust, Justin Bernier, Cavan Fitzgerald, Nicholas Welsh and Dmytro Timashov supplied the offence for Shawinigan (40-18-4).
