A person with direct knowledge of the moves tells The Associated Press that Columbus forward Rene Bourque and Vancouver's Adam Cracknell are among eight players placed on waivers.
The person spoke on the condition of anonymity because the teams haven't announced the moves made Sunday.
Bourque is an 11-year veteran who has three goals and six points in 42 games with Columbus this season. Cracknell had five goals and 10 points in 43 games with Vancouver.
Goalie Alex Stalock was placed on waivers by Toronto a day after being acquired in a trade with San Jose.
