Maxime Fortunus leads Iowa Wild past Manitoba Moose 2-1

DES MOINES, Iowa - Maxime Fortunus scored near the midway point of the third period as the Iowa Wild edged the Manitoba Moose 2-1 on Wednesday in American Hockey League action.

Zack Mitchell also scored for Iowa (18-30-7) toward the end of the second period. Steve Michalek made 21 saves in net for the Wild.

Thomas Raffl was the lone scorer for Manitoba (16-29-9), the AHL affiliate of the Winnipeg Jets. Connor Hellebuyck stopped 27 shots for the Moose.

Iowa could not score on its three power plays, while Manitoba went 1 for 2.
