QMJHL Roundup: Nicolas Roy scores winner as Sagueneens beat Drakkar in OT

BAIE-COMEAU, Que. - Nicolas Roy scored his second goal of the game 53 seconds into overtime and added an assist as the Chicoutimi Sagueneens edged the Baie-Comeau Drakkar 4-3 on Saturday in Quebec Major Junior Hockey League action.

Jonathan Bourcier and Artem Maltsev also found the back of the net for the Sagueneens (26-21-9). Dmitry Zhukenov tacked on three assists.

Antoine Girard, Anthony Beauchamp and Fabrizio Ricci had goals for Baie-Comeau (8-43-4).

Julio Billia turned away 27 shots for the win in net as Antoine Samuel kicked out 15-of-19 shots in defeat.

Chicoutimi was 2 for 5 on the power play while the Drakkar were scoreless on three chances.

ISLANDERS 5 MOOSEHEADS 2

HALIFAX — Daniel Sprong struck twice as the Islanders downed Halifax for their fourth-straight win.

Luc Deschenes, Samuel Blais and Filip Rydstrom rounded out the attack for Charlottetown (27-24-7).

Anthony Sorrentino and Maxime Fortier scored for the Mooseheads (17-34-7).

SCREAMING EAGLES 5 ARMADA 3

SYDNEY, N.S. — Pierre-Luc Dubois scored twice and added an assist as the Screaming Eagles toppled Blainville-Boisbriand.

Michael Joly had a goal and two assists, with Loik Leveille and Dillon Boucher also chipping in for Cape Breton (31-22-6). The Screaming Eagles improved to 7-0-1 in their last eight games with the victory.

Jan Dufek struck twice with Morgan Adams-Moisan adding the other for the Armada (20-29-8).

RIMOUSKI, Que. — Evgeny Kiselev stopped all 25 shots he faced as Quebec shut out the Oceanic for its third straight win.

Oliver Garneau found the back of the net late in the first period for the Remparts (27-24-5).

Alexandre Lagace turned away 28 shots for Rimouski (30-19-6).

WILDCATS 5 PHOENIX 1

MONCTON, N.B. — Cody Donaghey and Conor Garland both had a power-play goal and an assist as the Wildcats routed Sherbrooke.

Kelly Klima, Lane Cormier and Zachary Malatesta supplied the rest of the offence for Moncton (32-16-9).

Carl Neill had a power-play goal in the second period for the Phoenix (20-28-9).

VAL-D'OR, Que. — Julien Gauthier scored twice and Anthony Richard had a goal and three assists as the Foreurs got past Saint John.

Nicolas Aube-Kubel, Filip Pyrochta and Olivier Galipeau rounded out the attack for Val-d'Or (43-11-3). Anthony Beauregard chipped in with three assists.

Adam Marsh and Jakub Zboril had goals for the Sea Dogs (36-16-4).

HUSKIES 3 OLYMPIQUES 1

ROUYN-NORANDA, Que. — Alexandre Fortin had a goal and an assist and Martins Dzierkals assisted on all three goals as the Huskies snapped Gatineau's six-game winning streak.

Jeremy Lauzon and Anthony-John Greer also chipped in for Rouyn-Noranda (42-9-5).

Vitalii Abramov scored in the third period for the Olympiques (39-16-3).
