NHL to host second annual 'Mascot Showdown'
The National Hockey League will host the second annual NHL Mascot Showdown featuring all 26 NHL Mascots during the 2016 Honda NHL All-Star festivities in Nashville, Jan. 28-31.

All 26 NHL Mascots™ to Face Off in Four Days of Friendly but Fierce Competitions

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The National Hockey League will host the second annual NHL Mascot Showdown™ featuring all 26 NHL Mascots™ during the 2016 Honda NHL® All-Star festivities in Nashville, Jan. 28-31. Thirteen Western Conference Mascots, led by the Nashville's own Gnash™, will face 13 Eastern Conference Mascots, led by Columbus Blue Jackets' Stinger™, in four days of friendly but fierce competition, including an all-mascot NHL All-Star Game prior to the 2016 Honda NHL All-Star Skills Competition™ at Bridgestone Arena.

The NHL Mascot Showdown™ is one of the most anticipated events at 2016 NHL Fan Fair™ presented by Bridgestone inside Music City Center. All 26 NHL Mascots™ (not every NHL team has its own mascot) will showcase their hockey skills and athletic prowess, offering family-friendly fun for fans of all ages. NHL in-arena host Mike Todd will handle play-by-play duties for each event. Select young fans in attendance will be able to take part in the warm up and stretching session prior to each planned event.

Thursday, Jan. 28

6 p.m. NHL Mascot Introductions & warm-up session, followed by Musical Chairs & Bowling

2016 NHL Fan Fair™ presented by Bridgestone at Music City Center

Friday, Jan. 29:

6 p.m. 3-Legged Race, Wheel Barrow, Leap Frog, Balloon Relay and Tug of War

2016 NHL Fan Fair™ presented by Bridgestone at Music City Center

Saturday, Jan. 30:

2 p.m. Broomball and Dodgeball matches

2016 NHL Fan Fair™ presented by Bridgestone at Music City Center

4:30 p.m. Prior to the 2016 Honda NHL All-Star Skills Competition™, the NHL Mascots™ will face-off in two 8-minute periods of their own NHL® All-Star Game, live streamed on NHL.com

Sunday, Jan. 31:

1 p.m. Dance Competition, the winner of which will be determined by audience applause, followed by the presentation of the NHL Mascot Showdown Trophy to the Captain of the winning team and the Most Valuable Mascot award.

NHL Mascot Clubhouse inside NHL Fan Fair ™ presented by Bridgestone

Fans will be able to meet their favorite mascots for photos and autographs at the NHL Mascot Clubhouse inside NHL Fan Fair™. The Clubhouse will serve as the central location for all mascot appearances and exclusive merchandise from the NHL Mascot collection, including mini-sticks, pucks, pennants, hats, t-shirts, cozy fleece blankets, pillow pets, and children's books.

Hockey fans can follow all of the live action from the NHL Mascot Showdown™ on Snapchat and Twitter and access a handy list of NHL Mascot Twitter handles. The NHL's Facebook page will include an album with photos, bios and Twitter handles for each NHL Mascot. To join the conversation, fans should use the official hashtags #NHLAllStar or #NHLFanFair.

NHL Fan Fair™ presented by Bridgestone Ticket Information

Tickets to 2016 NHL Fan Fair™, which will host the NHL Mascot Showdown™ competition beginning Jan. 28, can be purchased online at NHL.com/FanFair or at the Music City Center box office during published event hours. Tickets are $20 for adults (aged 12 and up) and $15 for children between the ages of 3 and 12, seniors 65 and older, and college students and military personnel with valid ID.
