Panthers to sell popular 'Spacey-in-Space' hoodie
The Florida Panthers celebrate victories by awarding the player of the game a blue hooded sweatshirt with a picture of actor Kevin Spacey in space. The Panthers said Tuesday the popular item be available for purchase at the team store.

The Panthers announced Tuesday via Twitter that they will sell the popular item at their team store for $40, with proceeds going to the Kevin Spacey Foundation and the Florida Panthers foundation.

The sweatshirts have Spacey's face on the front and the Panthers' logo and team name with the words "#SpaceyInSpace" on the back.

The Panthers began awarding the hoodie last month after victories. Even some players don't know how it came about.

"I can't tell you [how that started], but I know [Spacey] is a great guy, he is a pretty funny guy," center Aleksander Barkov told Sportsnet. "I just need to watch his movies a little bit so I get to know him even better."

Florida (28-15-5) leads the Atlantic Division and has won 14 of its past 18 games (14-3-1).
