NHL Network and Sportsnet will televise "Rogers Hometown Hockey" on Sunday at 5:30 p.m. ET, prior to the game between the Calgary Flames and Carolina Hurricanes on Sportsnet. The game between the Chicago Blackhawks and St. Louis Blues will air after "Rogers Hometown Hockey" at 7 p.m. ET on NHL Network in the U.S. The location this week is Whitehorse, Yukon Territory, and the show will celebrate the history of hockey in the city.
Among the features airing on the pregame show:
* Brigette Lacquette is one of Canada's top women's players. She plays for the Calgary Inferno of the Canadian Women's Hockey League. After dealing with racism as a child, she now inspires children all over Canada to overcome and rise above abuse, including in Whitehorse.
* TJ Brodie of the Calgary Flames has become one of the elite defensemen in the NHL, and Flames president of hockey operations Brian Burke said he will be a Norris Trophy candidate in the next few years.
