OHL Roundup: Jeremiah Addison scores twice as 67's topple Petes 5-2

PETERBOROUGH, Ont. - Jeremiah Addison scored twice and Liam Herbst kicked out 23 shots as the Ottawa 67's toppled the Peterborough Petes 5-2 on Saturday night in Ontario Hockey League action.

Nathan Todd had a goal and two assists, with Connor Graham and William Brown adding the others for the 67's (21-20-2). Dante Salituro tacked on three assists.

Eric Cornel and Greg Betzold both had a goal and an assist for Peterborough (19-18-6). Dylan Wells started in net, but was pulled after turning away 13-of-17 shots in 31:40. Matthew Mancina went the rest of the way and made 12 saves.

Ottawa scored once on six power plays while the Petes were 1 for 7.

BULLDOGS 3 STING 2

HAMILTON — Adam Laishram struck twice in the second period as the Bulldogs held off Sarnia.

Trent Fox also scored in the second for Hamilton (16-23-3).

Jakob Chychrun and Patrick White found the back of the net for the Sting (22-12-6).

FRONTENACS 2 ICEDOGS 1 (SO)

KINGSTON, Ont. — Spencer Watson scored the only goal in the shootout as the Frontenacs snapped Niagara's five-game winning streak.

Lawson Crouse evened the game at 1-1 with a goal in the second period for Kingston (27-12-3).

Brendan Perlini scored on the power play for the IceDogs (22-13-6) in the first.

KNIGHTS 5 STEELHEADS 0

LONDON, Ont. — Christian Dvorak scored twice and added an assist while Tyler Parsons stopped all 25 shots he faced as the Knights blanked Mississauga.

Olli Juolevi, Max Jones and JJ Piccinich also found the back of the net for London (31-7-3).

Joseph Murdaca turned aside 26 shots for the Steelheads (21-19-4).

RANGERS 7 SPIRIT 4

SAGINAW, Mich. — Mason John had a goal and two assists as Kitchener won its fourth straight by getting past the Spirit.

Jeremy Bracco, Adam Mascherin, Nick Magyar, Brandon Robinson, Jake Henderson and Miles Liberati supplied the rest of the offence for the Rangers (30-6-4).

Blake Clarke and Mitchell Stephens each had a goal and an assist while Matthew Kreis and Kris Bennett also chipped in for Saginaw (17-21-4).

COLTS 5 BATTALION 4 (SO)

BARRIE, Ont. — Andrew Mangiapane struck twice in regulation and had the shootout winner as the Colts slipped past North Bay.

Kevin Labanc had a goal and two assists for Barrie (25-16-1), which also got a goal from Dylan Sadowy.

Mathew Santos scored twice and added an assist for the Battalion (20-17-4). Daniil Vertiy and Mike Amadio also scored.

Justin Scott of the Colts was ejected at 7:51 of the first period for checking from behind.

ATTACK 8 OTTERS 0

OWEN SOUND, Ont. — Michael McNiven stopped all 37 shots he faced as the Attack shut out Erie.

Damir Sharipzyanov and Jaden Lindo both had a goal and two assists for Owen Sound (18-15-9). Kevin Hancock, Markus Phillips, Jonah Gadjovich, Josh Sterk, Justin Brack and Nick Suzuki supplied the rest of the offence.

Jake Lawr turned away 36 shots for the Otters (35-6-1), who had a three-game winning streak snapped.
